Dana Hokana

Dana Hokana is one of the top female trainers in the Quarter Horse industry. Dana has trained multiple Youth and Amateur Western Pleasure, Horsemanship, Western Riding, Trail and Reining champions at both the All American Quarter Horse Congress and the AQHA World Show, as well as many circuit and futurity champions. Dana’s daughter Brook has won the Congress four times, conquering the Horsemanship title two years in a row. She also won the All-Around Champion title one year and was Reserve All-Around Champion the next! Dana’s younger daughter, Bree, is a two-time Reserve Congress Champion in the Reining and was the AQHA Year End High Point Champion in 2010, 2011, and 2012! At the prestigious new AQHA Novice World Championship Show, Dana’s rider was an impressive 6th out of 108 in the Amateur Western Pleasure.

Friday Clinic – Maximizing your Pleasure Horse.
You will learn how to get the highest level performance out of your Western Pleasure Horse, while keeping your horses, movement, true and natural. You will understand rhythm and create steadiness and cadence as well as acceptance. These fabulous techniques will help you in any event, that you ride or show.

Saturday Clinic – Building a confident rider.
Confidence. What an important word! That definition of confidence is “a feeling or belief that you can do something well or succeed at something.” Confidence is something that everyone desires, but few people achieve. My desire is to help you realize, “you can do it too!” I want to help you to uncover and transform your riding. Learn these valuable techniques that will transform your riding and become the rider you have always dreamed of becoming.

Sunday Clinic – How to slow your horse down without sacrificing movement. 
Everybody wants a soft, collected, slow moving horse. Here is your answer to learning the correct way to slow your horse down while maintaining their natural movement. These tips will give you your answer and help you achieve a beautiful, slow moving, collected horse.

    Do you need a stall for the day ($65/day)? Overnight stalls will be billed as a weekend stall ($125/weekend).

I hereby agree that I, my assignees, heirs, distributes, guardians, and legal representatives will not make claim against, sue or attach the property of Horse Expo Canada or any of it’s affiliated organizations, parent company, employees, management, or the supplier of any of the equipment I will use in these activities, for injury, damage, or loss to myself, my agents, my staff, my horse(s) and my personal property resulting from the negligence or other acts, howsoever caused, by an employee, agent or contractor of Horse Expo Canada, or any of it’s affiliated organizations as a result of my participation in horseback riding and any related equestrian activities. I have carefully read this agreement and fully understand its contents. I am aware that this release of liability is a contract between Horse Expo Canada, and it’s affiliated organizations, and/or myself and I sign it of my own free will. By execution of this agreement, I agree to comply with each and every rule and procedure established by Horse Expo Canada, in connection with the horseback riding and equestrian activities conducted on such premises that may be in effect at the time that I participate in such activities.
