Vanessa Salisbury

The clinic will cover how to bring your futurity horse along by keeping them soft and broke with proper horsemanship. We will also be working on maintaining a finished horse, keeping your horse sharp and loving their job, preventing them from being sour on the pattern.

Vanessa Salisbury is a barrel horse trainer located in Central Alberta. She has been riding her whole life. She has been fortunate enough to work with successful trainers from disciplines varying from English and Western Pleasure to Cow Horse, to Reining, to Barrel Racing. This has helped her develop her own style and adapt to each horse’s style specifically. She takes pride in building a broke horse throughout their entire body, creating a willing partner and one that takes responsibility while doing their job. Throughout her clinics, she strives to provide each rider with the tools they need to face the adversities the competitive season may bring.
