We are excited to share our growing event with the wonderful businesses in
Red Deer and the surrounding areas.

We would like to invite you to Horse Expo Canada 2023 at Westerner Park on April 28-30. You may be more familiar with a similar show called “The Mane Event”. After hosting this event for many years, they chose to close the doors which left a big void in the equine event world. Horse Expo Canada was created from that void, and the desire of the equestrian community wanting to have a place to come together. This new company, with new owners, has a goal of bringing that equine experience back to everyone that enjoys this type of event.

Horse Expo 2022 was our first year hosting this expo. It was very successful with over 10,000 attendees, nearly 200 exhibitors, 13 world class clinicians, and more. Many vendors, participants and attendees have thanked us for picking up the pieces and bringing life back to the equine event world at Westerner Park.

This letter is an invitation to you, the community & businesses, to join in the fun and prosperity of our Expo. One way you can be part of it is to take part in our on-site decorating community challenge. For the week of April 24 to April 30, 2023, we are asking you to decorate your business in a Western or English (equestrian) theme. Enjoy some horse play, there really isn’t any fixed criteria so get creative and have some fun. Horse Expo personnel will come to your business to judge your display on April 27th. The winner will receive day passes to the expo. All the businesses who participate will be listed on our website, with a link to your business, as well as at the Expo.
